Resident urges Millington schools to provide transportation for away athletic events and practice space

He urged the board to consider supporting coaches so student safety is not compromised and said the district has fund-balance resources that could be used.
Brown also said his granddaughter, a cheerleader, had not practiced in over a month because the team "doesn't have a place to practice," and he asked the board to help find practice space. The comment occurred during the public-comment period; there was no board vote or formal response recorded in the transcript during that item.
The board acknowledged the comment and continued with the meeting's agenda items.
