Gwen, the library manager, told the board the outreach strategy will include an online survey and poster-board paper surveys placed in the library lobbies, with the team aiming to launch the survey on Feb. 14 and keep it open for about two weeks. Gwen said poster boards and paper surveys will be available at Mesa and at White Rock branches and that board members could staff tables or lobbies during high‑traffic times to gather input. She identified two early outreach opportunities: a gardening panel on Feb. 15 (11 a.m., Mesa) and the Seed Library’s third anniversary on March 1 (1–3 p.m.).
Board members asked that environmental stewardship and minimizing impacts to trees and water flow be emphasized in the outreach materials for the outdoor classroom. The chair asked staff to incorporate design features that protect natural resources into the work plan’s outdoor‑classroom priority.
