The Community Inclusion and Engagement Commission presented its first strategic plan to the Richardson City Council at a joint meeting, outlining a mission to "create a more inclusive and engaged community" and a vision for Richardson to be “recognized by all stakeholders as a place where everyone feels welcome, included, valued, and empowered to participate.”
Ramsey Consulting facilitator Rick Robinson told council members the commission, created in late 2023, completed months of meetings, training and demographic review before drafting a mission, vision, four balanced-scorecard goal areas and six high-level strategies. "All strategic planning work is to determine what future results you want to achieve," Robinson said during the presentation.
