Angola planning staff announces role change; commission thanked volunteers and received informational addresses

City planner Brad told the Angola Planning Commission Dec. 9 that he is moving to a project-coordinator role in the engineering department; the commission received three informational address reports including a salon, an Edward Jones split, and a Papa John's at the Meijer/Walmart area.
At the end of the Dec. 9 Angola Planning Commission meeting, Brad (city planner) told the commission that it was his last meeting serving in the planner role for the commission because he is transitioning to a project-coordinator position in the engineering department.
Brad said he will remain at City Hall in the new capacity and will continue to be available to the commission for questions while staff transitions planning duties to Rifa (incoming staff for planning reports). He thanked commissioners and volunteers and noted recruitment for a new planner was underway.
Chair members thanked Brad for his service. The meeting also included three informational address reports (information-only items, no commission action): a change from single-tenant to dual-tenant at 1002 North Wayne Street to house Gilo Salon/Salon 818; a split allowing 643/645 North Wayne Street to house Edward Jones and Believe Wellness LLC; and a new Papa John's at the strip near Meijer/Walmart (22100 North Wayne Street, Suite H).
The commission received a boxed token of appreciation from the mayor for board and commission volunteers and the staff circulated the upcoming year's meeting calendar.
