Bannock County commissioners approved an intergovernmental agreement with the Idaho Department of Corrections that formalizes payment to the county for services the county is already providing. Jared Marchand, identified as Supreme Court District Manager, explained the new Boise leadership requested the contract to ensure services already delivered will be paid; the reimbursement rates in the agreement mirror Medicaid rates.
Ashley Brinkhurst, representing D6 Street Medic (as identified in the meeting), said the county has been providing the services and the contract simply documents the arrangements so the Idaho Department of Corrections will pay for the services rendered. Legal review was confirmed; staff said the agreement had been routed through the county's legal reviewer.
Commissioners moved to approve the intergovernmental agreement and authorized signature so services can continue uninterrupted under the formal contract terms.
