Treasurer staff said mail continues to arrive after the Dec. 20 due date and the office will run delinquent notices later this week. The office plans to complete the distribution of collected funds to taxing districts on Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2025. Treasurer staff estimated the county's portion amounts to roughly 20% of collections, or about $90,000,000, which will be included in that distribution.
The treasurer described operational issues encountered during the billing cycle, including mail timing from out-of-state senders and a printing issue affecting some bills. The office reported contacting taxpayers who called with questions and that most affected accounts had already been resolved by payment.
The treasurer also previewed ongoing internal work on election cast-vote record analysis, including a visualization tool that will show whether straight-ticket voters in 2024 also filled other races on the ballot.
The treasurer's office will send delinquent notices and complete the distributions to taxing districts on Jan. 8, 2025.
