The Aransas Pass City Council voted to rezone about 2.5 acres at the rear of 777 North Avenue A from R7A (single‑family residential) to RV, bringing a recently replatted portion of the property into zoning conformity with an adjacent RV park.
City staff told the council the owners, Mark and Geraldine Marlow, had purchased adjoining property and replatted it but the zoning change had not been completed. The council had previously held a public hearing on the request in December and tabled the matter; at Tuesday’s meeting council members moved the item to a vote.
A motion to approve the rezoning passed by voice vote. Staff said the change will allow the property to be developed and used as part of the existing RV facility consistent with the rest of the parcel.
