"I am a little disappointed and frustrated that at the 11th hour, the agenda removed the item regarding the DAC discussion," the board member said, noting the committee has worked for two and a half years and requesting the board be allowed adequate time to review its materials. The board member asked that Mandy present a complete overview of the committee's work at a work session, saying the board needs time to consider recommendations.
Superintendent Jan Vanderjak was identified in the exchange as retaining the item on the agenda during distribution; the complaining board member said they had requested it be moved to a work session and had followed up in writing before the meeting. The speaker asked that the board follow established process so members and the public have adequate time to review substantive documents.
