Town Manager Kevin told trustees the town originally purchased interests in three Clean Energy Collective arrays in 2015–2016. Holy Cross Energy acquired two arrays from the company in 2020; Holy Cross has offered to buy the town’s remaining interest in a third array for $92,831. Kevin recommended selling the town’s interest and returning the proceeds to the wastewater fund, which had paid for the original purchase.
A motion to approve the sale of the town’s CEC number 1113 array interest to Holy Cross Energy per the attached buyout agreement was made by Trustee Colin and seconded by Trustee Jess. Trustees voted in favor and the motion passed unanimously.
Kevin said the town realized savings from the arrays during the period it held them and that the buyout amount represents a reasonable option compared with taking physical possession of the panels.
Action taken: trustees approved the sale and directed staff to apply proceeds to the wastewater fund.
