City staff responded that West Coast Arborist maintains an inventory tied to trimming work and that the new scope will augment that database by identifying missing trees and recommending locations for replacements and future canopy planning. Staff said the full management plan, which will recommend tree species and planting locations, will be returned to the council for presentation once complete.
Council members voted to move the nine consent items forward by roll call during the meeting.
The consent vote advances the city’s effort to update its tree inventory and to produce a plan intended to guide species selection and canopy planning in new developments and other city locations.
