Garden Grove council adopts ordinance lowering speed limits on several city streets

Council members said the change responded to neighborhood concerns about pedestrian safety near schools and business corridors. Council moved the ordinance at second reading and approved it by unanimous vote.
Action and implementation details - Ordinance No. 2962 will amend Garden Grove Municipal Code section 10.36.030 to establish the new posted speed limits for the listed segments. - Staff said signs would be posted about 30 days after adoption and that the Police Department would begin enforcement thereafter.
