The Tahoe‑Truckee Unified School District Board of Trustees on Dec. 18 voted to approve tentative labor agreements reached this fall with its certificated teachers and three other employee units, district negotiators and union leaders said.
District staff described the deals as jointly negotiated settlements that restructure parts of pay schedules and increase the district’s employer contributions for benefits. Todd Rivera, assistant superintendent and chief business officer, told trustees the full package for the teacher unit — the Tahoe Truckee Education Association (TTEA) — is valued at about 4.25% in total compensation in year one when changes to the salary schedule and an increase in health and welfare are combined.
