The board credited Wright with developing the district's leadership framework, guiding the redistricting committee since 2015 and “facilitating maximum learning for every student through his servant leadership.”
Board members and district leaders praised Wright at the meeting. Board President Lester said the district is “so deeply appreciative” of Wright’s work and called the community “a great community” that supports the schools. Superintendent Todd R. Meyer thanked Wright for his years of service and noted Wright’s role in leadership development across the district.
A separate speaker at the meeting added that Wright “always told me the truth and what you thought, even if I didn't want to hear it,” praising his judgment and experience in decisions that affect students and families.
The resolution records Wright’s start date with the district and highlights his career progression from classroom teacher to district leadership. The board read the resolution into the minutes and offered public thanks; no separate policy action or employment change was taken beyond the commendation being recorded.
