Commission receives quarterly update on police misconduct complaints; few complaints reported for Q4

Commander Charlie Kitsapas presented aggregate department data on investigations and complaints. For the quarter, Kitsapas said the department had three administrative complaints received during Q4 and zero citizen complaints received in that period. He also reported that, during the same period, there were three active citizen complaints and a total of five active administrative complaints being investigated.
Kitsapas listed policy categories relevant to ongoing investigations, including use of force, search and seizure, prohibited discriminatory conduct, discourteous treatment, failure to take responsible action while on duty, alleged criminal statute violations, nepotism and conflicting relationships.
