City staff told the Lincoln Park City Council the city will receive an additional $1,000,000 from Michigan's Drinking Water State Revolving Fund (DWSRF) to support water-main and lead service-line replacement work.
The city manager (name not specified in the public record) told council the additional DWSRF money will reduce the local share required on an ongoing infrastructure project. The manager also reported that the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) has committed funding for the Harrison Street bridge project; staff described the overall project value as about $3,400,000.
In department reports, Monique of the CDBG office said the historical museum renovation funded through CDBG is complete and paid, a housing renovation at 1453 Buckingham is roughly 74% complete, and the department is working to close on a property on Ferris. Monique also described expanded down-payment assistance in partnership with a local home-buyer assistance group in Wayne County and said the top priority is spending down remaining CDBG dollars.
Staff emphasized year-end closing tasks and reminded residents of city office closures for the holidays. Council did not take formal votes on these informational items during the meeting.
