Christy Mae Davis was sworn in as Jackson City Council member for the Fifth Ward during the council meeting on Dec. 10, 2024.

Mayor Daniel Mahoney called Davis forward and administered the oath, asking, "Do you solemnly swear to support the constitution of The United States, the constitution of this state, and faithfully perform the duties of fifth ward council person in and for the city of Jackson, the county of Jackson, and the state of Michigan to the best of your ability.
