Council members asked whether the award would be used for pocket parks and how it would fit into the broader parks master plan; staff responded that because the city recently completed overhauls on several pocket parks and had deferred some renovation work pending the master-plan updates, the $50,000 will most likely be attributed to the master-plan projects rather than already-renovated pocket parks. Staff said accepting the grant would allow budget amendments as necessary.
