Torrington council approves safety committee appointment, WAPA SLCA power contract and bills

The Torrington City Council on Jan. 21 confirmed a mayoral appointment to the city safety committee, approved an update to a Western Area Power Administration (WAPA) purchasing and scheduling contract, and approved city bills for the period covered on the agenda.

Appointment: The council approved the mayor's appointment of Tessa Fagley of the Torrington Police Department to the citysafety committee to replace retired officer Tammy Kearns.
