The Bountiful City Council approved several administrative and procurement items in a grouped series of votes.
Expenditures and financial report: A council member moved to approve expenditures greater than $1,000 paid on Nov. 20 and Nov. 27, 2024, and the October 2024 financial report. The motion was seconded and approved with no recorded opposition.
Site-plan review at 710 North 500 West: Planning staff presented a change of use from manufacturing to a contractor office and indoor storage. The Planning Commission forwarded a positive recommendation (reported by staff) with conditions requiring maintenance of existing vegetated screening along the east property line, removal of junk and debris from the property, and completion of staff review comments. Council approved the site-plan review with those staff recommendations.
Vehicle and equipment purchases: Public works staff requested three vehicle purchases in the current replacement cycle — two staff pickup trucks and one crew truck with a utility bed. Staff recommended buying two staff pickup trucks from Salt Lake Valley Ram for a combined $97,368 and one crew truck and utility bed from Young Ford of Ogden for $110,864, a total of $208,232. Council approved the purchases.
Power department equipment: The council approved a low bid for a 46,000-volt circuit switcher from S&C Electric (through the listed vendor) for $151,078. Staff said the switcher brand matches equipment in existing substations and that the lead time fits the project schedule; council approved the purchase.
Administrative items: The council approved the 2025 meeting schedule, maintaining its regular meeting cadence. The meeting concluded with an adjournment vote.
Each of the above motions was made, seconded and approved with no recorded opposition in the meeting record supplied to council.
