The Town of Selma Special Recreation Advisory Board on Jan. 24 recommended that the town council approve the Town of Selma Events Sponsorship Fund acceptance policy.

Staff said the events sponsorship policy mirrors the existing Parks and Recreation sponsorship acceptance approach and that proposed sponsors would go through an internal review and approval process. The full policy text was not yet available at the Jan. 24 meeting; staff said they would provide it as soon as possible.

A board member moved to recommend approval of the events sponsorship acceptance policy; another board member seconded and the motion passed by voice vote.

Staff will submit the proposed policy to council for approval and return with the full policy text for board records.
