Council approves 2025 meeting schedule, accepts Creek Road West annexation petition and adopts consent calendar

The Cottonwood Heights City Council voted on three agenda items at its Dec. 3 business meeting.
Council Member Newell moved to approve Ordinance No. 426, "adopting an annual meeting schedule for 2025." Council Member Hyland seconded the motion. Council Member Holton, Council Member Hyland, Council Member Newell, Council Member Burrell and Mayor Mike Quickers voted yes; the ordinance passed.
Council Member Hyland moved to approve Resolution 2024-71, "accepting an annexation petition for further consideration, the Creek Road West annexation." Council Member Burrell seconded. Council Member Hyland, Council Member Newell, Council Member Burrell, Council Member Holton and Mayor Quickers voted yes; the resolution was approved for further consideration.
The council then approved the consent calendar, which included minutes of a joint meeting between the planning commission and the city council on Oct. 29. A motion to approve the consent calendar was made and seconded and the council voted in favor.
All three items were adopted on unanimous voice votes recorded in the meeting; no roll-call tallies beyond the named affirmations were entered into the transcript. The meeting adjourned after the votes.
