The Lake County Board of County Commissioners on Dec. 30 approved Resolution 2024-47, adopting a supplemental budget and revised appropriations for the county's 2024 fiscal year.
County staff said the resolution consolidates changes already approved during 2024 and reports ending fund balances. The staff presentation said the general fund will end the year "at 12.9" (units not specified in the meeting record), the Road and Bridge fund shows an increase tied to the county's every-other-year paving schedule, the landfill fund has approximately $446,000 remaining after capital expenditures, and the human services fund balance increased primarily because of vacancy savings and staffing changes.
The supplemental budget formalizes previous quarterly adjustments and other budgetary actions the board approved during the year. The board opened the public hearing on the resolution, heard no public comment, and then approved the resolution by motion.
Commissioners and staff described the action as a routine administrative "true up" of the county's fiscal year 2024 accounts. No additional public testimony was offered during the hearing.
