The El Campo Independent School District Board of Trustees voted unanimously to approve a resolution to pay employees for two weather-related closures on Jan. 21 and Jan. 22.
The resolution — described in the board packet as authorizing paid leave for the district closures under local policy cited as an ‘‘act of God’’ — was included in the board packet and moved and seconded during the meeting. Trustee Dorsey was asked to entertain the motion and the board voted in favor without recorded opposition.
Board members said the item had been discussed previously and that the packet contained the language needed for the vote. The board president and other trustees conducted a voice/hand vote; no roll-call counts were recorded in the transcript.
The action resolves pay status for employees affected by the two closure days. No additional funding source or budget amendment was discussed at the meeting.
The board moved on to other business after the vote.
