He told the commission that the UNO team plans to take the overlay to the Planning Commission on April 22 and to City Council on May 8, and he recommended that the Downtown Commission invite an UNO review to the commission's March 19 meeting so commissioners can consider the draft and provide input before Planning Commission and Council hearings.
Wiley framed his comments as mobility‑oriented development and planning-hierarchy issues and noted UNO's potential influence on downtown boundaries and downtown planning priorities. He asked commissioners to consider participating in the UNO process because changes in land use or boundaries could overlap with downtown plan interests.
The commission acknowledged the comment; no formal action was taken as a result of the public comment period.
