Plantation council approves consent items, adopts 2025 legislative priorities and fills advisory board seat

The City of Plantation City Council on Jan. 29 approved its 2025 legislative action plan, cleared multiple consent-agenda items and confirmed an appointment to the Gateway Advisory Board.
Council members amended the legislative action plan’s language on homelessness before voting to adopt the document. Council President Reinstein urged removing a duplicate use of the word “services” and the council agreed to the edit during discussion before the roll-call approval.
The council also approved the purchase and delivery of a Toro Groundsmaster mower for municipal grounds and accepted a procurement exemption for internet posting requirements for that purchase. The council approved Central Park Drive culvert/sidewalk repairs after a resident raised concerns about the geographic labeling of the project and urged clarity on which culverts would be addressed.
