Euless council approves consent agenda; grants first reading to Encore Electric franchise

Franchise ordinance—first reading: The council opened and closed a public hearing on Ordinance No. 2415, which would grant Encore Electric Delivery Company LLC (and its successors and assigns) a franchise to use the city’s present and future streets, alleys, highways, public utility easements and public property to provide electric service in Euless. No members of the public spoke during the hearing. Council member Price moved approval of the first reading; Council member Bynum seconded and the first reading passed.
The first reading was approved; the ordinance will return for a subsequent reading as required by the city’s ordinance process. No further substantive discussion or amendments were recorded in the meeting transcript.
