Topgolf is building a two-level venue near State Highway 161 and Mayfield Road in Grand Prairie’s central entertainment district, company and event speakers said, with the location set to open in late 2025.
The venue will feature 80 outdoor, climate-controlled bays with heating, a full-service bar and restaurant and is expected to employ up to 300 people, speakers said. City officials added a “tee shot shop” to the traditional groundbreaking ceremony on Friday.
An unidentified speaker at the event said, “At the end of the day, cities have to have developers willing to risk. Let me underscore that, risk. Businesses are going out of business every day, folks. They have to be willing to risk their own capital and believe in your city.”
A speaker representing Topgolf described the company’s approach to entertainment: “At Topgolf, we like to say we are the instigators of play. That's really what it's all about at Topgolf.” Organizers characterized the project as complementary to the nearby entertainment district and said it would strengthen the area’s offerings.
Topgolf Grand Prairie is scheduled to open in late 2025. Event announcements also noted that the city’s 2025 calendar is available at City Hall while supplies last.
