The ordinance amendment, read into the record as an update to PD 50 and related sections of the Unified Development Code, will allow a house of worship at the subject property only after the applicant obtains a specific use permit and complies with site-plan and commercial-parking standards. Council members voted to approve zoning case Z-2024-062 after a public hearing and a 7–0 recommendation from the Planning and Zoning Commission.
