"Topgolf is about to tee it up in Grand Prairie," a staff member said. "Topgolf is building a new location near State Highway 161 and Mayfield Road in the epic central entertainment district."
The announcement said the two-level venue will feature 80 outdoor climate-controlled bays, a full-service bar and restaurant, and up to 300 employees. City materials accompanying the recording said a tee shot shop was added to the traditional groundbreaking ceremony on Friday.
A speaker observed, "At the end of the day, cities have to have developers willing to risk," and said businesses must be willing to invest private capital. Another speaker called the development "a significant moment for the city of Grand Prairie" and described it as an indicator of growth and opportunity.
Topgolf said the Grand Prairie location is expected to open in late 2025. The recording also noted that the city is distributing free copies of the 2025 Grand Prairie city calendar at City Hall while supplies last.
