Mauldin council approves study for two traffic signals as resident warns stadium parking plan raises safety, liability concerns

Mauldin City Council on Jan. 20 unanimously approved a C‑Fund application to pay for engineering design and right‑of‑way acquisition for two potential traffic signals: Highway 276 at Murray Drive and Holland Road at Bridgeway Boulevard.

The council voted to move the projects forward to engineering and right‑of‑way work; installation would be a separate decision after the study, council members said.

The decision came after public comment from Megan Brock, who said she is a Mauldin resident and a parent of a child zoned for Mauldin High School.
