State Assessment Office Confirms Corrected Kindergarten Acadience Materials, Warns of Bubbling Errors and Shipping Delays

Assessment staff told directors that corrected kindergarten Acadience materials were delayed by weather, have been shipped to LEAs and should be returned after use. They reminded test administrators to use the state student ID number and a number 2 pencil when completing bubble sheets.
The presenter said replacement booklets were sent with extra LEA/school labels and that if a test administrator used a wrong booklet, the materials will still be processed: “If by chance a test administrator uses the wrong booklet, do not panic. It is a okay. It'll still be processed,” the staff member said.
Operational guidance: staff asked LEAs to return incorrect and corrected booklets rather than destroy them because they are secure materials. For additional material orders, staff said LEAs must place requests in the additional materials tab in AMS (the additional-materials tab remains open until about a week before testing closes).
Bubbling and processing advice: the office warned that correcting an incorrectly bubbled booklet can be costly and urged careful bubbling — "Because to fix an incorrect bubble, especially in those kindergarten booklets, it's like $250 a pop. So let's not do that to ourselves." Staff offered in-person support for LEAs that want help with bubbling and suggested contacting DRC first for troubleshooting technical printing and access issues.
