Beloit School District board approves administrator contracts and extends superintendent contract one year

The Beloit School District Board of Education voted 4-3 to approve administrative contracts for a two-year term and, separately, voted 4-3 to approve a one-year extension of the superintendent’s contract, which the board recorded as running from July 2026 through June 30, 2027.

Board member Greg Schneider moved to approve the administrative contracts “as presented by the superintendent,” and Board member Amy Levy seconded the motion. After a roll call, the board clerk announced differing tallies during the vote readout; the clerk later confirmed the final count as 4-3 in favor of approval.

The board then considered a separate motion to extend the superintendent’s contract by one year. Schneider moved “that we approve a 1 year extension of the superintendent's contract. So we'll now run from July of 2026 through June of 2027,” and Levy seconded. The extension passed on a 4-3 roll call.
