Lancaster City introduces new bureau chief Betsy Logan to planning commission

"Hi. I'm Betsy Logan. I'm the new bureau chief for the city. I started in December, you know, so I've been here for a couple weeks. And, you have my resume," Logan said, offering to share more about her background if commissioners had questions.
Commissioners welcomed Logan to the role. During the meeting she answered questions about how she is acclimating to Lancaster and described prior experience in municipal planning in the central Pennsylvania region, including work at Susquehanna Township.
Why it matters: a new bureau chief oversees planning functions and coordinates staff work that supports commission reviews, code implementation and project oversight.
Next steps: commissioners and city staff said they will continue to work with Logan as she assumes bureau responsibilities and helps prioritize implementation of the comprehensive plan and other planning department tasks.
