Key votes and short outcomes
- Bank of America (Rooney Ranch PAD sign exemption): The commission voted 7-0 to recommend approval of a proposed PAD sign exemption for the Bank of America site at 10775 N. Oracle Road. Staff said the bank pad is part of a multi-owner center governed by Rooney Ranch sign standards from 1998; the exemption would allow the bank to use the town's current sign code (Chapter 28) and a broader palette and sign types than the Rooney Ranch standard permits.
- St. Mark's Church (architecture): The commission voted 7-0 to recommend approval of architecture for a limited set of buildings on the St. Mark's campus at Tangerine and Shannon. Staff said the application is consistent with the site's existing architecture, the approved master development plan and relevant overlay standards; the development-plan modification (reduced square footage) was being handled administratively.
- Administrative items: The commission approved the Dec. 3, 2024 meeting minutes by voice vote 7-0.
- Internal elections: Commissioners nominated and unanimously elected Anna Clark as chair and Kim Outlaw Ryan as vice chair for terms effective Jan. 15, 2025; both elections were recorded 7-0.
