Board ratifies donation agreement to correct ATV transfer to Fairgrounds after audit note

Kootenai County commissioners on Jan. 14 approved a donation agreement to formalize a prior transfer of county property from the Juvenile Detention Center (JDC) to the fairgrounds.
Jeff Voler, director of facilities, told the board the asset transfer occurred a few years ago but the audit showed the paperwork was not completed correctly. "So this is a request for a resolution to formalize that and clean this transfer up," Voler said. He said the item was an ATV at the time of transfer that did not run; fairgrounds staff have since repaired it and are using it.
Commissioner Eberlein moved approval of the donation agreement for execution by the BOCC and the Fair Board; the motion was seconded and approved unanimously with Commissioners Eberlein and Duncan and Chair Metairie voting aye.
The board did not discuss monetary value for the asset in the meeting packet, nor did staff provide a detailed inventory of transferred items during the public meeting record.
