The Pulaski City Council approved two parade permits during the meeting: a permit for the Giles County Beekeepers Association for March 10, 2025, and a permit for a Family by Design community event set for June 7, 2025.
Councilmember Harris presented the beekeepers' permit, saying the association had held the event previously. The council moved to approve the permit and adopted it on roll call.
On the Family by Design permit, staff said last year was its first year and described it as the "2nd annual Family by Design event with live music, foods, crafts, vendors, speakers, and prayer." Councilmembers asked for clarification about the group's mission; staff said the application listed the organizer and event details but did not elaborate on the organization's broader activities. The council approved that permit by roll call as well.
Both permits were described in the permit applications as daytime events (beekeepers listed a broad permit window; Family by Design listed 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.) and the council did not attach further conditions at the meeting.
