The San Marcos Area Chamber of Commerce on Jan. 7 told the San Marcos City Council its top priorities for 2025 are promoting local education, advocating for business interests and finding a permanent home for the chamber and its programs.
Paige Michelle, president and CEO of the San Marcos Area Chamber of Commerce, said the chamber’s three focus areas are education, advocacy and locating a permanent office. “Goal 1 for us ... is to boost awareness of our excellent education facilities in this community and really focusing on our public schools,” Michelle said. She added that the chamber sees strong ties between local schools and economic development.
