Hogan also asked the board to approve an insurance reimbursement budget amendment of $10,224.44 for the Department of Emergency Management to account for reimbursement related to the Forest River bathroom trailer; the board approved the amendment.
Hogan said the county received a cybersecurity grant from the North Carolina Department of Public Safety for $93,000 to support policy and procedures related to cyber protection. The board approved a budget amendment to move remaining FY2023-24 funding forward into the current budget year, debiting emergency management grant lines and crediting fund balance appropriated for $70,705.
Earlier in the meeting, the board approved collections for December totaling $5,568,388.63 and releases totaling $465.77. The tax office reported 45 sales in December and ongoing damage assessments will be updated at a later meeting.
