The board also approved the bill list for Jan. 7, 2025, in the amount of $1,008,384.01 and confirmed the appointment of Heather Shepherd to the Cultural Arts Commission for a term to expire April 30, 2028.
The consent agenda items recorded in the meeting minutes and read into the record included: an ordinance amending Title 3, Chapter 7 to reduce a Class C liquor license for Hell's Barbecue Incorporated, 1019 Station Drive; a resolution authorizing purchase of a 1-ton Ford F-550 from Brown Equipment Company for $144,750; a resolution authorizing purchase of a 5-yard dump truck (Freightliner) from Trans Chicago Truck Group and upfitting by Monroe for $284,873; a resolution authorizing execution of Task Order No. 4 with RJN Group, Inc. for sanitary design and construction management services for $56,000; and a financial commitment in support of a RAISE grant application for intersection improvements at Wolf's Crossing Road and U.S. 30.
Village President Coppin read the items and called for a motion to approve the consent agenda as read; the board moved, seconded and approved the motion by roll call. The bill list for Jan. 7, 2025, was presented and approved by roll call in the amount shown. The appointment of Heather Shepherd to the Cultural Arts Commission (term to April 30, 2028) was also moved, seconded and approved by roll call as part of the consent agenda.
Meeting minutes show the items were handled on a single motion under the consent agenda and voted on together. No separate debate or amendments were recorded on the consent items during the meeting itself. The board moved on to trustee reports after the votes.
