Items for police and fire include CAD and management-software renewals, body-worn camera funding, turnout-gear replacement and annual tactical equipment replacement.
Officials noted a $330,000 AMHA contribution for demolition of the Kenmore Annex and said the administration secured about $7,500,000 in state support for residential and commercial demolition projects. The state grants carry local-match obligations: staff cited a $3,000,000 general-operating match and $500,000 in JED funds to comply with state funding rules.
Council members asked for line-item details and clarification on payments to the combined communications center and the mobile communications center; staff said the combined communications center amount covers utilities and service use and the mobile communications center expenditure will be split across 2025 and 2026.
