The Planning and Zoning Commission voted to adopt its 2025 meeting schedule, elect Paul White as vice chair for 2025, and approve the Nov. 7, 2024 meeting minutes during routine procedural items.
On the schedule, staff noted the July meeting often conflicts with July 4 events and recommended removing that date. A commissioner moved to adopt the 2025 schedule with the July meeting removed; the roll call recorded affirmative votes by Commissioner Wager, Commissioner White, Mister Broadhead and Commissioner Vaughn, and the motion carried.
Commissioners nominated and elected Paul White as the commission’s vice chair for 2025. The nominee accepted and the commission voted to elect him; the same commissioners recorded affirmative votes. The commission also approved the Nov. 7, 2024 meeting minutes by voice/roll call with the same named affirmative votes.
During the meeting staff and commissioners discussed committee assignments and attendance at upcoming city council meetings; commissioners volunteered to attend specific council sessions and agreed to coordinate availability. Staff also reported on a development agreement the city council had tabled and on forthcoming ordinance amendments covering short‑term rentals and subdivision/townhome rules, which the commission may see at a future meeting.
The meeting adjourned following a public comment from Richard Blinkorn on the Heather Ridge timeline; staff estimated that final approval and permitting could be several months but cautioned timelines are variable.
