Evansville Fire Merit Commission elects officers, approves minutes and sets November meeting date

The vice president nomination of Commissioner Vick was approved by voice vote. Commissioner Fetcher was nominated and approved by voice vote as secretary; commissioners noted Deputy Chief Garrett will continue to provide staff support for minute taking and records.
The commission also discussed scheduling for November 2025 meetings and agreed to hold the November meeting on Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2025, in Room 307, subject to final confirmation by the deputy chief.
The meeting concluded with a motion to adjourn that passed by voice vote.
