Evansville MPO policy committee approves TIP contract changes and other routine motions

The amendments presented included splitting DES (Design) numbers out of existing contracts so they could be established as separate contracts (for example, removing a DES number from contract 44499 and establishing a new contract 45753) and revising funding and fiscal years on the original contracts to reflect that change. Staff also introduced contract 45285 as a new project to be added to the TIP for preliminary engineering (PE) in 2026 and construction in 2028.
After Pam's explanation, a committee member moved to approve the TIP amendments and a second was recorded. The chair called for the vote; those present responded "aye" and the chair reported no opposition. The meeting record does not include a numerical roll-call tally. Earlier in the session, the committee also heard a motion to approve minutes from the preceding meeting; that motion passed after a verbal "aye" vote. Later the committee approved payment of bills following a motion and second; that motion also passed unanimously by voice vote as recorded in the meeting.
Pam said additional TIP modifications processed since the last meeting were provided for information, including funding moves and added projects that resulted from a special NDOT LPA safety funding call; staff offered to answer questions, and none were raised before the motions were made.
The committee was told that the full 2026–2030 TIP draft will be presented at the March 13 meeting, with final document approval scheduled for May 8. Staff noted the Ohio River Crossing sheet within the draft does not show anticipated additional funding in 2026–2030 but that the project continues and any future funding needs will be brought back to the committee as a TIP modification or amendment.
No further public comment was offered and the meeting moved to other agenda items.
