The Envision Eugene technical advisory committee on June 5 confirmed several incoming members and outlined plans for an in-person onboarding session this summer.
Heather (city staff) told the committee that John was reappointed to a third term and that three new members will join Etech: Jeff Rek (joining July 1), Kim R. Scott (realtor), and Angela Arias (operations manager at an engineering firm). A fourth candidate had been offered a seat but may instead be nominated to the planning commission, in which case the committee would not add that person to Etech.
Staff said they plan a group onboarding and training session, tentatively in July (staff will circulate a doodle poll and confirm availability). The session is expected to be in person, and staff invited current members to attend and share practical tips for interpreting data and reviewing the annual report.
Committee members thanked three departing long-serving members — Howard, Mark Reed and Dennis — and noted that those seats will be filled by the incoming appointees. Howard, who spoke at the meeting, reflected on his service and the committee’s progress, noting advances in digitization and GIS tools that support growth monitoring.
