Linn County Commission approves hiring, contracts and payroll claims in unanimous votes

All motions were seconded and approved by voice vote.
Public Works made a formal request and the commission approved authorization for overtime for this week to address storm- and rain-related road work (motion seconded; approved by voice vote).
The commission also approved a contract acceptance for The Lloyd Group LLC to assist small entities with budgets (2026 budget support) at $25,000 plus travel and processing costs; that motion was moved, seconded and approved.
Votes recorded in the meeting minutes were voice votes with unanimous “aye” responses; no recorded roll-call tallies were entered in the transcript for these motions.
The commission acknowledged these formal approvals during an agenda that otherwise included extended discussion of road and bridge priorities, a senior center lease review with the city of Parker and multiple department updates including AMR and rural fire reports.
