Council appoints Ryan Birdsey to Planning Commission, Tammy Stark to Urban Forestry Committee

Associate planner Lenny Crowe reported on the urban forestry vacancy and related subcommittee interviews; councilors recommended Tammy Stark to complete a term ending Dec. 31, 2026. Councilors voted to confirm Stark’s appointment by voice vote.
Councilors praised applicants and emphasized that these are unpaid, volunteer positions that provide important expertise to staff and elected officials. No amendments or additional conditions were attached to either appointment in the transcript.
