Kaufman County commissioners approve routine reports, replat and equipment financing; agree to release easement

At its February meeting the Kaufman County Commissioners Court approved routine minutes and financial reports, accepted racial-profiling reports from county law-enforcement offices, authorized a replat in Woodruff Ranch Edge, and approved financing to purchase a John Deere wheel loader for Precinct 4.

The court accepted several annual reports and routine actions that the county requires by state law. Constable Woodall reported that "Out of 474 traffic stops, we had 0 complaints," and the court placed that report on the record. The Kaufman County Fire Marshal reported two traffic stops in the past year and said there were no complaints. The court accepted both reports by voice vote.

County Treasurer Chuck told the court the county "ended the month of January with $38,064,000 in the general fund," and gave month-end investment balances, yields and collateral figures. The court approved the treasurer's report and later approved payment of accounts payable, juror checks and payroll totaling $13,226,764.35, which the treasurer said included the county's annual debt payments.
