Daggett County commissioners approved a memorandum of agreement (MOA) governing distribution of an economic-development grant, with staff-directed corrections to wording and spelling to be finalized and ratified at the next meeting.
Commissioners discussed that the document heading should read “memorandum of agreement” (MOA) rather than “memorandum of understanding,” and that a typographical error (“recipient” missing a letter in one instance) needed correction. One commissioner moved to approve the MOA “with the changes that we've spoken of,” and another commissioner seconded; after no further discussion, commissioners said “Aye” and the motion carried.
The MOA is intended to be the agreement that grant recipients will sign. County staff said the corrected and clean copy will be placed on next week's agenda for ratification. Kent Snyder and Peggy (staff) confirmed corrections had been uploaded to Google Drive and the document would be available for review prior to ratification.
Because the item was not formally agendized for final ratification at the Feb. 4 meeting, commissioners approved the corrected draft now and directed staff to return a finalized version for formal ratification next week.
