The Community Promotion and Tourism Committee recommendations were included: grant awards from hotel/motel funds for local events, including $25,000 for the Lombard Lilac Parade (plus the cost of village services), $2,000 for the Lilac Sale (May 8, 2025), $10,000 for the Lilac Princess program (running March through June 18, 2025), $5,000 for the Lilac Times arts and crafts fair (May 4, 2025), and $5,000 for the Lombard Farmers Market (May 20–Oct. 7, 2025).
“We listened to presentations for the five remaining 2025 local tourism grant applications,” the community promotions presenter said, and added that recommendations will be transmitted to the board for final decision. The presenter also advised residents seeking application information to visit the village website for program details and submission instructions.
The board approved the consent agenda by roll call (ayes recorded for trustees present). After the vote, trustees moved to recess to executive session for the purposes of collective negotiating matters, discussion and semi‑annual review of executive session minutes, and acquisition of real property. The motion to recess to executive session was made and seconded, and the board approved it by roll call.
No separate board votes on individual consent items were recorded in the public meeting; the consent agenda items were handled as a single package.
