Petitioner representative Misha Rabinowitz asked the board to make approval conditional on a plan submitted to staff that morning. Staff confirmed the petition should be subject to the plan dated Feb. 18 rather than the earlier Feb. 12 filing and recommended approval.
A nearby property owner, Lee Constantine, said he was not opposed to the venue but requested events not begin midday due to sound checks and daytime noise; because the case was on the expedited docket and staff recommended approval the board did not take additional testimony or change conditions at the hearing. The petitioner’s agent indicated they would discuss the timing concern with the neighbor after the meeting.
The board voted to grant the expedited variance: Brian Hannon — yes; Percy Bland — yes; Joanna Taft — yes; Rayanna Bender — yes. The approval adopted the staff findings and was conditioned on the plan filed Feb. 18.
